Most classic options such as the audibles from L&B have acoustic alarms such as “beeps” that can be set on the audible directly. Some audibles such as the VOG speak the altitude to you (e.g. “4 thousand”) and the altitudes are set over a mobile app on the phone.
The most affordable option is the Brilliant Pebbles from AON2 coming in at only 140.- GBP new. They are reliable and have everything you need. You can set different beeping alarms at any altitude and volume you want over the phone app. It covers all basic needs for a low price point.
Most professional canopy pilots use the L&B Audibles for their reliability, special swoop mode (where the alarm goes „Bip ….. bip …. bip … bip .. bip . biiiiiiiiiiiiiiip“) and option to set alarms directly on the device.
Speaking audible altimeters offer great altitude awareness as you don’t have to remember what altitude you set which alarm to but can actually just listen to how high you are.
